Starting his tennis management career at the age of eighteen, he was one of the youngest teaching professionals ever certified by the USPTA in 2002.
His first position was as the right hand of Vic Braden, at the world famous Vic Braden Tennis College. After eight years of Programming, Directing, and hands-on Coaching one of the most successful Adult Tennis Programs in The World, Tyler's reputation brought him to Las Vegas, NV. Within a few years, he quickly became known as and still is one America's finest tennis coaches to a variety of celebrities and elite business professionals that demand the best.
CourtThink Founder.
Tyler had the vision to bring sports science to the game of tennis at every level, not just the professional athlete. Out of that desire he founded CourtThink in 2004. Soon Thereafter, resorts sought him out to contract his unique way of teaching. CourtThink began a residency on courts throughout the country, most recently The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and 2 Prestigious Country Clubs in Las Vegas.
WTA Coach.
As a registered WTA coach, Tyler has had the pleasure of working with names such as Ivana Lisjak, improving her WTA ranking from 480+ to a Top 200 within eight months. Most recently he has coached Allie Will who improved her doubles ranking to crack the WTA Top 100 within 3 months of working together. He has also consulted for AgentAtleta, a sports agency that represents names such as Maria Sanchez.
Writer...Public Speaker...Researcher.
Tyler as a published writer and educator has been featured in periodicals, magazines and blogs. These include Tennis Magazine, New York Times, 10SBalls.com, TennisEastCoast and many others. His writing was featured for the first time with an instructional article in Inside Tennis magazine featuring the dynamics of Andy Roddick’s Serve. The information in the article was based on the only 3 dimensional study ever conducted on ATP and WTA players during live matches at The Masters Series Event in Indian Wells. The project was conducted personally by Tyler himself, his strategic business partner and tennis researcher Andy Fitzell, and world famous coach Vic Braden. The data compiled from these studies has been used to format the finest teaching progressions in the world and is used daily by CourtThink professionals in fine tennis clubs across the U.S.
Tyler as a public speaker has traveled to many clubs across the country giving motivational speeches to juniors and adults as well as over 50 lectures on stroke mechanics. Tyler had the honor in 2011 of being invited as a guest speaker/instructor to UNLV’s MBA Research Marketing class giving students insight into sponsorship relations and cross marketing businesses in a variety of ways.
Most Recent Projects.
Tyler’s latest projects include the formation of Court Think Tournaments, LLC in 2009. CTT was founded for the purpose of bringing professional tennis back to Las Vegas after the loss of the ATP event, The Tennis Channel Open. Using Red Rock Country Club as a host site, Tyler teamed up with longtime friend, Las Vegas Attorney, and licensed Sports Agent, Jordan Butler. Together, they successfully run what is currently the only professional tennis tournament in Las Vegas, known now as The Party Rock Open. Tyler and Jordan shared joint ownership of CourtThink Tournaments, LLC and celebrated the tournament’s 5th year anniversary in 2013.
Most recently, Tyler Weekes and longtime client and close friend Chris McBride, have Formed Weekes-McBride Worldwide, Ltd. This entity purpose is to revolutionize the availability of accurate sports science information on the internet. To that end, Weekes and McBride have already started their first branch in SportThink, an internet based service currently providing instructional services to WTA players and club players alike.
Personal Life.
Devoting time to his new family, Tyler has been married to Tiffany Gudino since April of 2012, and proudly cares for his two step-sons, Roman and Rocco. Tiffany and Tyler also have welcomed their daughter Wilhelmina Weekes into the world this past September 17th, 2017. Now home based in Las Vegas, Nevada, he enjoys expanding Court Thinks’ interests in the tennis industry, all the while being an avid USTA member and USTA League participant.
